No prerequisites required. However, students that plan on signing up for the sports elective class must attend try outs for our Monticello Academy Athletic Teams.

Description
The Sports and Fitness class serves as an extension to our Physical Education class, as well as additional practice time during specific sport seasons. The sports elective class offers a wide variety of learning opportunities for your child, ranging from health, nutrition, hygiene, and sports knowledge. The sports elective class encourages students to enhance their lives through sports and overall fitness. The sports elective class assists our students participating in our school-organized teams with additional practice time, used to go over conditioning, sport-based drills, team strategy, and sport-specific terminology. For our students not playing on any school-organized teams, this class serves as exposure to the world of sports. Allowing them to explore and discover the meaning of teamwork and experience what it feels like to be a part of a supportive and welcoming community here at Monticello Academy.
